Many names, one story

QDRX, S-quad-X, Quadruple X, Quadropolyx – these are just some of the names for QDRX. But all of these names are just modulations for the main name “XXXX”. Everyone knows, that there is triple “X”, that is used in many different occasions. There are porno-sites, music, movies and other things named “XXX”.

In the year 2000, there was a Latvian band “triple_x” and at that time some members of that band and other free artists decided to form an organization, that will be creating beautiful things in all possible directions. Then we were stuck with the name for organization. The “triple_x” name was the most voted variant, but we knew that we are not going to be able to use it. That is when we've decided to put one extra “X” to the name “triple_x” and have four X-s.

So now, instead of “Triple X” we have “Quadruple X”, same as instead of “XXX” we have “XXXX”. Than the name was regenerated, modified and played over many times, after which, most suitable variant was found to be the shortened version of “QuaDRopolyX” – QDRX.
